Club Match 2 (Presidents Cup)
The first match of the season with less than 20 fishing only 16 people fished. The fishing was still hard but the roach started showing in places with most taken on hemp. First was S Palmer with 19lb 8oz from peg 51. Steve has caught for the whole 5 hours on hemp on the pole at six metres. Second went to I Liddel with 13lb 10oz of roach again all taken on hemp at six metres on the pole. Third was N Smith from above Black bridge with 13lb 7 oz. Nigal has fished worm on the pole and caster on the waggler to tempt chub and perch.

Evening Match 5
The last match still saw 26 people fishing. The river still fishing hard in places but that did not stop S Palmer catching 16lb 3oz. Steve was drawn on peg 55 and caught roach all night on a long pole over groundbait with caster. Second went to M Gale with 11lb 4oz. Mick has caught well in the last hour on hemp a range on the pole. One of the roach went 1lb 8oz. Third was A Hyde from peg 62 with 9lb 8oz. Alex has caught 2 tench and perch on chopped worm on the pole.

Evening Match 4
The 4th match and still a good turn out with 28 people fishing. Fishing was slow for most of the anglers but most stayed the distance. 1st on the day went to J dugdale with 11lb 3oz from in form peg 65. John has caught small chub for most of his weight on the waggler fishing maggot. 2nd went to K Rowls with 9lb 13oz. Kevin has fish a pole with hemp and caster to catch manly roach. 3rd was D williamson with 9lb of chub and roach. Danny fished peg 33 using a waggler and maggot aproach.

Evening match 3
Another strong turn out seeing 30 people fish. Fishing was very hard going for all the competetors. First on the day was K Rowls with 8lb 8oz. Kevin caught one Tench and a few perch on the pole close in. Second went to A Pratten with 8lb. A mixed bag of small fish caught on the pole. Third was A Hyde who caught a tench and perch for 7lb 7oz on chopped worm.

Club match 1 (George steel shield)
Another good showing of people form this match seeing 26 fish. Fishing on the day was good with ten pound getting you 12th place.

First on the day went to A Hyde who had 28lb 15oz. Drawn just below the old plank Alex had 4 barbel and a big chub. Alex fished long pole with pellet and caster to tempt his fish. Second went to Nigel Smith with 19lb 11oz. Nigel caught on a short pole with maggot and caster hook bait catching a mixed bag of small fish. Third on the day went to Martin Dolman with 19lb 6 oz. Martin caught big roach and small chub swapping between pole and stickfloat on maggot.

Evening agg 2
Evening match 2 saw an even better turn out this week with 30 people fishing. The river fished quite hard in most places. First on the day was Alex Hyde from peg 65. Alex caught 14lb 12oz of perch and chub. Alex fish worm at range on the pole. Second was Mick Ash from peg 47. Mick caught two bream and bits for his 12lb 1oz. Third on the day was Kevin Rowls from peg 62 with mixed bag of fish for 8lb

Evening agg 1
The first evening match saw an exellent turn out with 27 people fishing. First on the day went to Kevin Rowls with 25lb 12oz. Kevin caught five bream and silvers from peg 50 on the waggler. Second on the day went to John Garner from new peg 63. John caught manly roach and small chub on the pole for his 8lb 12oz. Third went to Mark Billing from peg 47. Mark caught 7lb 10oz of perch on the worm.

Golden peg for club matches £549

Pairs match
Chippenham A C pairs match was fished at Pockeridge both lakes.
Weights were quite good all round were the winner had 33lb 9 oz.
First on the day was A Hyde with 33lb 9oz a mixed bag of roach and carp from the bottom lake. Second on the day was K Williams with 24lb 1oz from the top lake. Kevin caught manly perch close in and one carp 12lb 5oz from the island. Third was S White who had 22lb of carp from the bottom lake
