Evening Match 1 - 20/6/2011
The first evening match saw 26 anglers get wet for this one. During the rainy evening some of the elusive bream turned up for a few anglers in the shallows.
First on day went to G Etheridge with 17lb 14oz from peg 50 on the shallows. Gary caught 4 Bream and bleak on the waggler lose feeding maggots. Second went to V Abbott from peg 47 on westinghouse drain with 8lb 7oz. Vic also had 2 bream and a few small Perch chopped worm on the pole. Third went to C Gittins from peg 51 with 7lb 6oz. Colin also fish the waggler on the shallows but only catching 1 Bream and a few Perch on caster.

Evening match 2 - 27/06/2011
This Monday match was much dryer than last week and 23 anglers turned up.
The fish is still very hard going in most places with the odd anglers getting into some fish. There are a few small roach showing but not in numbers yet.
1st on the day went to A Hyde with 11lb 13oz of bream and skimmers. Alex has fish caster on the pole over groundbait to tempt the fish at 8m. 2nd went to G Etheridge with 9lb 8oz. Gary again this week fished the waggler on maggot to take manly small chub and perch. 3rd was K Rowls with 6lb 14oz. Kevin has caught small roach and two skimmers on the long pole on caster.

Evening Match 3 - 4/07/2011
21 anglers for this one. The river is still clear and not much flow. Weed now starting to grow up i most pegs making fishing quit hard. This was the first evening match where the roach started to show along with the small chub. 1st on the night went to G Etheridge with 9lb 7oz. Gary was draw on peg 37 on riverside drive and fished the waggler with maggots again. Gary caught small roach and chub for his winning weight. 2nd went to S Palmer with 8lb 4oz from peg 57. Steve fished the long pole over groundbait with caster to tempt an all roach catch. 3rd was K Rowls from peg 44 with 6lb 15oz. Kevin fished the pole on worm to catch a few perch with a few chub mixed in.

Evening Match 4 - 11/07/2011
The river was even clearer this week and everyone was hoping for a few roach to feed. 1st on the day was G Etheridge with 11lb 8oz. Gary fish the chopped worm at 10m on peg 62 to catch perch for his catch.2nd went to K Rowls with 7lb 6oz from riverside drive. Kevin caught a mixed bag of roach, perch and small chub for his weight. Joint 3rd was M Billing and J Dugdale with 5lb 1oz. Mark was drawn on the shallows and caught chub on the feeder. John was fishing on peg 62 and caught small roach on the pole.

Evening match 5 - 18/07/2011
The last match of the series. With the weather being overcast the river looked ok but we knew it was still very clear. Fishing was better this week for the people drawn from the line of trees to the brambles with 5 oz separating the top 3. 1st was S Palmer with 8lb 11oz. Steve has drawn the same area for the third week running ( so he should know how to fish it by then ). Steve caught roach over ground bait on the pole on maggot and caster. 2nd was M Billing with 8lb 8oz. Mark has caught small chub and roach on the waggler fishing maggot. 3rd went to A Pratton with 8lb 6oz. Andy has fish worm at 4m to temp perch.
