Club Match 1 - George Steel - 01/06/2012

The first club match saw 27 people turn up. The river was flowing well but the colour has started to drop out. 1st on the day went to D Baker with 14lb 12oz. Dennis has caught 6 chub and small roach on the stick float with maggots by the bridge at Kellaways. 2nd went to I Liddell with 13lb 15oz. Ian has caught good perch and 22 nice chub switching between the pole as stickfloat using worm and maggot. 3rd was L Lathbury with 12 lb 2 1/2oz. Liam has caught good chub late on in the match using caster on the stick float.

Club Match 2 - Presidents Cup - 28/07/2012

22 Anglers turned out for this match on a nice dry afternoon. The river had changed alot over the week and is npw like tap water but with a bit of flow. 1st on the day went to M Wooldridge with 19lb 8oz. Mark has caught all roach on the pole with hemp and tares. 2nd went to A Hyde with 10lb 14oz. Alex has had a mixture of roach perch and chub on the waggler with caster. 3rd was N Lofy with 10lb 10oz. Nick has had manly roach on the pole with caster.

Club Match 3
 
21 anglers turned up for this afternoon match at the top end of the river. The river was very clear and did not look too good. The fishing however was a big surprise with big weights of chub. 1st on the day was A Hyde with a very impressive 46lb 14oz. Alex for this match forgot how to catch perch but replaced it with 20 chub. Alex fished the stickfloat with caster to tempt chub ranging from 1lb up to 3lb. 2nd went to D Johnson with 26lb 13oz. Dave has used the pole with maggot to tempt good chub and a few roach. 3rd was D Baker with 16lb 9oz. Dennis has fished the pole to hand to catch a mixed bag of fish with maggot.

Club match 4
 
This match was to moved Pockeridge due to the river being flooded. 16 anglers fish this one on the lake. 1st was G Dodson with 28lb 2oz. Gary has caught 5 carp on the pole using maggots. 2nd on the day was S Palmer with 26lb 15oz. Steve has draw the rushes at the far end of the lake and has caught small carp and roach on maggot. 3rd went to A Hyde with 24lb 14oz. Alex has caught small roach on the maggot and 3 carp on the worm down the margins. Not a perch in sight for him today but one carp was just over 10lb.

Club Match 5

16 mad anglers turned out for the match on the river. The river was rising and carrying lots of colour. 1st went to N Smith with 4lb 4oz. nigel has caught 3 roach and a bream on the feeder using worm. 2nd was M wooldridge with 6 1/2oz. march has caught small roach down the edge with maggot. 3rd wenr to I liddell with 5oz. Ian has also caught roach on the maggot using a swimfeeder.

Club Match 6

16 anglers turned up to fish the club match on the lakes at pockeridge. Both of the lakes were very full and in places the water was running over the banks. 1st on the day was N Lofy with 31lb 4oz Nick was on the top lake and caught two big carp and some good perch on worm using the pole. 2nd went to A hyde with 29lb 7oz from the bottom lake. alex has caught 6 small carp on the waggler using maggots and caster (no big perch for him this match). 3rd went to i Liddell with 13lb 13oz from the top lake. Ian has caught 3 good perch and roach on the pole.

Club Match 7

18 anglers turn out on a snowy day for this match. The ground was covered in snow and the river look cold. The fishing turned out to be ok for most people. 1st went to A Hyde with 17lb 11oz. Alex has caught some small chub and good size roach on the waggler. 2nd was K Rowls with 11lb 5oz. Kevin has caught lots of dace on the stick float through out the match. 3rd went to G Etheridge with 8lb 14oz Gary has caught a good chub near the start and then small roach on the waggler after.

Club Match 8

25 anglers turned out for the last club match of the season. The river had nice colour and a good flow, it looked good for some big weights. 1st on the day went to C Gittins with 16lb 6oz. Coiln has caught 2 big chub and lots of roach on the stick floats with caster. 2nd went to G Etheridge with 12lb 12oz. Gary has also caught chub and small roach on the stick float but this time with maggots. 3rd was M Dolman with 12lb 2oz. Martin has caught all roach on the crowquil using caster.
